With the victory, the 22-year-old Northern California native earned a first place check of $250,000 and took over second place on the 2008 LPGA Official Money List. It was her first win in the San Francisco Bay area where she grew up. “This means a lot,” she said. “That is (a) big win for myself. I put so much pressure on myself every time I come here and to finally have one, it feels really good.
